GOOD WAY IN CHOOSING A DOMAIN NAME

You would think that choosing a domain name would be straight forward. However, special care and attention should be given to the decision. Many people assume that their personal name or business name should be the domain, but that isn't so. Below are a couple of tips to help you choose the best domain for your website.
It is important to understand that once you have chosen your domain name, you are stuck with it. If you get bored of it after a few years, or realise you have made a mistake it is not as simple as just changing it, this can be a lot of hassle. People usually type the website domain into a search engine to get to a website, for example ezine.com. This is known as type in traffic. If it were to change suddenly then there would be a lot of confusion.
When choosing a domain name you should avoid long and complicates names, as people may get it wrong when typing it and simply lose interest. Choosing a domain name with plurals should also be avoided, along with names that feature double letters. Therefore, try to keep the domain name short and preferably singular.
Double letters in a domain name can make it incredibly difficult and confusing for people to navigate to, for example jonssales. But if you really do want a page with double letters, then it's a good idea to register both versions (jonssales and jonsales), this will prevent you from losing traffic when someone enters the name wrongly.
It is important that people are able to understand and spell your domain correctly, otherwise you will lose traffic. Choosing a domain name with punctuation marks and hyphens can cause confusion. Not to mention some words, numbers and letters. For example to and 2, 0 and o, if you are reading your website address to someone they may write it down wrong if you have confusing characters such as those mentioned above.
It is important to base your domain name on the content of your website and the keywords. Therefore if your website is about marketing then you should have the word marketing in your domain.
The final tip I can give you is to try to choose a domain name ending in.com. Even though there are many other extensions available most people will automatically search for.com, as opposed to.co.uk or.biz. If the domain you want isn't available in.com then.net seems to be the next best thing.
The easier the domain name, the easier it will be for people to remember.
Think well and  choose in good one to use
